I want to explore the thoughts and experiences of people with biracial heritage or cultural differences. As myself, I am mixed of Italian, Ukrainian and Malaysian-Chinese heritage. I also grew up in an International school along with other biracial children who experience society unconsciously questioning their preference of culture and to "choose the better side", ask us to "stop acting white" and be surprised when they witness aspects of our Asian culture side showing through. The theme runs along that biracial are treated like two different people within one body, hence the proposal title chosen, Internal Twins. A battle to prove to the world and sometime ourselves that people who are biracial are not two different people but a mixture that makes one.
